CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS
Five regional artist-run organizations ADG, AP, KWSA, Riverside Print and Uptown Gallery have been working together to promote ‘Local Art for Local Walls’.
Our collaboration, appropriately called LAF, has decided to mount a professionally juried show open to all of our members. These artists are invited to submit up to 5 works from a body of work which addresses the theme.
Art$Pay is organizing this exhibition for LAF. Two professional jurors have been hired to select about 3 works each from 20 to 25 artists.

July 4 to Aug. 27, 2019

Gallery Hours: Thurs. & Fri. 4-7 pm, Sat. 1-4 pm; Free Admission
Must be a paid up member of ADG, AP, KWSA, Riverside Print or Uptown Gallery
Must submit electronically as outlined below.
If selected, must be available to sit the gallery for one shift; supervisory only, no sales transactions.
Attendance at the July 4 opening reception 5-8 pm is required then optional
Original, current 2D & 3D artwork from the same body of work
Works must be limited in edition, 25 or fewer copies, each signed and numbered.
AP proofs are accepted.
3D submissions are to include details about installation and plinths; to be supplied by the artist.

Only complete electronic submissions received by deadline will be considered.
Submitted artwork must be designated for this event; not sold in advance or substituted. If someone is interested in purchasing, invite them to the gallery.
1. Email subject: “(Your Full Name) – “Summer in the City”
2. Two to five artworks submitted per artist from a body of work which addresses the theme, with good quality jpg images; one to three images submitted for each 3D work. If the images will exceed 2 MB, please upload your images to Dropbox, Google Drive or another file-sharing service and provide a link in the body of your submission email. See AP TOOLBOX for help.
3. In the body of your submission email, include:
a) Your full name, phone number(s), email and website addresses
b) An image list, in this order: title, series numbering if applicable, year completed, medium(s) specified, dimensions in inches h x w x d, price including HST if applicable, if you take installations and preferred contact info for enquiries.
Work must arrive ready to install and must be wired in order to hang on the slat wall hooks. Jurors may refuse to accept work not properly prepared for installation or if not accurately represented in the electronic submission.
All applicants will be notified of art selection by email from email@example.com on, or by June 27. The Artist Agreement will be attached with a deadline for return, and a gallery sitting schedule will be included in the email for your available dates.
Artist Fees & Commissions
Application, participation fees and commissions on art sales is by normal arrangement with each artist’s own member organization.
When an artist belongs to more than one LAF organization which collects commissions, the commission will be shared between the organizations, and will not exceed the highest percent normally paid to either of those organizations.
AP members: There is no fee to submit or participate, 20% commission is owing to AP on all sales up to and including 30 days following the closing of the exhibition, as soon as payment is received. If the artist takes payment installments, AP is to be paid in full from the first installment.
Each artist manages enquiries about their, art sales transactions and ‘sold art’ delivery arrangements. The artist contact info is published on each art label.
Artists may take interested clients into the show at other times by arrangement with AP.
Sold art remains as installed in the exhibition until closing at 4 pm on Aug. 27.
These are provided and will be printed as submitted – no changes are possible.
Images submitted may be used for event promotional purposes by all LAF organizations.
Participating artists are needed to help with promotions and social media posts.
