EXCITING NEWS! AP has been offered studio and gallery spaces to manage for 2 years, perhaps 3 years, in Uptown Waterloo!
If this is of interest to you or to your visual artist friends living in the region, let AP know this week.
If enough artists are interested AP will sign the contract and move forward quickly!
AP membership is not necessary now but will be a requirement for tenancy.
Shared Open-Concept Studios and Private Studio Spaces are both available, from $200 to $600 monthly, with 4 or 12 month terms and option to renew, for up to 15-17 actively practicing visual artists
Close to bus lines, cafes, restaurants, and shops, including art supplies stores
Occupancy begins May 1, 2019
Rental rates are non-negotiable and just cover operating expenses without profit for AP or owner
Rent includes all utilities, taxes, free parking, access to common spaces with kitchenette & washroom, locked storage for art materials, basement clean-up sinks & storage for larger items
Access to two interior exhibition spaces. The larger space is suitable for group exhibitions, sales, workshops, meetings for about 35-40 seated people and more
AP portable display system stored on-site, available for exterior events in paved parking lots
Tenant eligibility includes actively practicing professional artists, those who are developing a professional career, and post-secondary graduate students. No commercial businesses.
AP membership will be required of all tenants but is not necessary for studio application or for gallery use
